Pathways Independent Living Program

Pathways Independent Living Program provides housing and community services to effect transition from being DCFS wards to adult independent living for youth age 21 and under.

Roles of Pathways:

To prepare and assist youths who are in substitute care for eventual independent living and adult life.

To offer comprehensive client service plans for youth in substitute care over the age of 16 that will prepare them for emancipation or transition to adult services.

To offer an array of services and support that will prepare youth to live on their own and that will enhance the ability of DCFS and community providers to better provide and coordinate these services.
