TANF Work First Program

UFC's Work First Program provides services for clients who receive or formerly received Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and/or other low income individuals. 

Work First enables clients to gain work skills and become self sufficient by addressing barriers to employment through comprehensive case management.

Program activities involve: 

• Enhancing job skills and helping the search for employment 
• Assignment to a work site, vocation training or basic education 
• Transportation or special clothing expenses 
• Customer service training upon intake 
• Academic testing 
• Child care
